Megan Lian is a Los Angeles based Costume Designer born and raised in the LA area. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2007. Shortly thereafter she fell in love with costume design at LA City College’s Theater Academy. Since starting her career in Costume Design, she has accrued dozens of film and television credits, which include: Home Delivery with Donald Faison, Melanie Field, Jimmy Simpson, Joe Pantoliano, Lesley Ann Warren, Lindsay Sloane, Rainn Wilson as well as Weekend at the End of the World with Cameron Fife, Clay Elliot, and Thomas Lennon.
Other recently completed work includes commercial projects and music videos, namely the MTV VMA nominated All Time Low “Some Kind of Disaster” video. Later this year she begins costume designing a historical drama, based in late 1800s Nebraska, written and directed by Andrew Troy (Midnight in the Orange Grove) and Jim Sheridan (In the Name of the Father, My left Foot).
In her spare time she enjoys traveling. She is a an avid supporter of Los Angeles Theatre and is frequent patron of Mark Taper and Ahmanson theaters, to name a few.
Megan is a Member of CDG local 892 in Los Angeles and in 2021 joined United Scenic Artist local 829 in New York.
